School Production, Communion and Graduation Videographer in Carlow, Waterford and Kilkenny

Parents in the audience spend a school play holding phones above their heads. Half the footage is somebody else’s arm. The other half is shaky and badly lit and cuts out before the final song.

A properly filmed production is a different thing entirely, and the same goes for a communion day or a graduation. Here’s what to ask for.

School production videographer: what gets filmed

Anything with an audience and a stage. School plays and musicals, concerts, dance performances, awards evenings and graduation ceremonies all fit. O’Neill Wedding Videos has been filming across the South East for more than twenty years, and our schools and productions page sets out what we cover.

We use professional HD cameras and clean audio equipment, and we film from several angles. That’s the difference parents notice: the wide shot of the whole stage, then the close-up of their own child.

School event videographer in Carlow, Waterford and Kilkenny

Schools in all three counties are part of our regular patch from Wexford Town. If you’re a teacher or a parents’ association organising a production, you can ask us about dates early. Productions are often locked in months ahead.

Why schools like us

We’re unobtrusive. Performers stay focused because nobody is waving cameras around. Teachers don’t have to manage a crew. Everything is recorded as it happens, with no interruptions.

What schools receive

A finished film families can buy or watch back. Delivery is on USB or DVD.

Communion videographer in Carlow, Waterford and Kilkenny

The communion is a day families want to remember in full. The church service, the family gathering afterwards and the small moments between the two all matter.

Parents often assume a photographer covers it. Photographs freeze one second. Video catches the walk up the aisle, the laughing at the table and the grandparents’ faces. Years later, those are the bits you replay.

Tell us the church, the time and where the celebration is. We’ll plan around the moments you care about and film quietly so your child isn’t made nervous by a camera in their face.

Graduation videographer in Carlow, Waterford and Kilkenny

Graduation ceremonies run on a schedule. Names get called, people cross a stage, and you get about five seconds of your graduate. Miss it and it’s gone.

Filming the ceremony means every graduate is captured, and families who couldn’t travel can still watch. For schools and colleges, it also makes a lasting record of the year group.

LCVP interview videographer in Carlow, Waterford and Kilkenny

Students in the Leaving Cert Vocational Programme practise interviews as part of their coursework. Recording those sessions lets a student watch themselves, which is uncomfortable and extremely useful. Teachers can give feedback on posture, answers and nerves with the footage in front of them.

If your school wants this recorded, we film LCVP interviews as part of our school work. Talk to us about how many students and what format the school needs.
